BoatMad Karting extravaganza, Camberley 13 Jan 07

OK, since Gav (aka Mister Tetchy) has thrown his toys out of the pram and gone back to sniffing the resin bucket, here's a plan:

I have provisionally booked us a slot at TeamSport Karting in Camberley on Saturday 13 January at 4pm

We're going for their Team Challenge 90 option, which includes

• Drivers briefing
• 20 minute practice session
• 90 minutes of team racing
• Trophy presentation for the top 3 teams
• 3 drivers per team

The price is £49.95 per person. There are options a few quid cheaper, but this gives us the most kart time for our money.

We'll be finished by about 6.30pm in time for some light refreshments.

PM me to tell me how many places you want to book, and I'll send you payment details (Paypal or cheque are probably easiest).

I must have payment in full by 15 December if you want to play. We need between 21 and 36 drivers, so don't muck about just send me your money!

Game on

inside tracks can (usually) only have a max of 8 carts on track at one time due to small size of track, you need an outdoor track or v.large indoor one (i dont know of any) to have endurance races with lots of people - otherwise its very expensive for just a few people to race over a long no of laps as it means basically renting the track with 8 instead of 20-30

Looks fun for the summer! Works out about the same price as where we're going, except you'd be outside in the pissing rain and January winds!

Given that this is a social event about getting people together for a bit of a laugh and a few beers after, it doesn't top Camberley.

I prefered Gavs 1 hour in a Kart thingy. That would have sorted out the men from the boys!!!

Gotta agree there - 1hr full race vs 30mins where your sharing the winning (or losing as the case may be!) with 2 others - just no competitions really.

I'd prefer Gav's enduro too! i find grand prix's rubbish as 6 laps isn't enough time to put all the other competitors into the tyre wall

For me, I agree, would like a good scrap.

For Vix & the other girls though, suspect an hour endurance racing might be a bit much.
