My God!!!!! I had a stand up row with him in Cowes after finding he'd moored a RIB against my then brand spanking new Phantom 28 without fenders, and told me it was fine. I wonder how he'l deal with a similar situation, tables turned.

Right, where do I buy a scrappy old rib, with a perishing, muddy, crappy old rubber wear band to moor against his new pride & joy?
Think OCRDA may have one

mmmmnnnn. on the weekend your refering to, another bloody rib owner snagged the S/S shell vent drain on my anchor locker with his rubber bote and ripped it off, and that prat was only walking it past my boat, coz he clearly felt incapable of driving it.

Feckin ribbers!

Then we can meet up in the evening.
......And you, 'Ginger Bouncy Person' think you can wind me up ????? Everyone knows that Phantoms are bigtime Stuffers ! Why do you think they were tested and developed on the Swale?

Easy, easy, easy

Ask the 40+ boats, most of which were larger than us, who were behind us into Plymouth (some by over an hour), how a Phantom goes in the rough. Better still, we'll show you & Lance Corporal Jones the way home at Cowes next year!

Will you join in the meeting with the Evo?

There might be some ribs from 'the dark side' that need showing the way home.

Maybe I should drug Steve, kidnap him, and he can wake up sitting in the 32, just off Cowes, ready for the off. We could have an old school clash of the titans. Obviously good will win, and evil will lose.

Driver skill and experience is no proof of good hull design because I can use the same arguament about the 1972 Bollinger Round the Island race when in not nice conditions we beat all our own class 3B and those above in 3C.
I think we were 13th overall out of a field of leftovers from the CTC and class 3.

Try another line Ginge.....You were up against new boy amateurs
At least TD taught you how to do it in a proper boat (R26)

You KNOW that the Rings are good rough water boats ALL of the time.

I really think you will wind yourself up on this one.......

Buster, Schmuster you are all Fluster....

Stix N stones and all that.

Mike

If you're scared, you could do the Hamble trip with the Ring Owners Club. We'll see you back at Drivers.

I'll try to get Roger Severy out with his 28 too. That boat runs good in the chop.

Back to business

I reckon to make this work, we'll need 25-30 boats, maybe up to 100 people for the Folly lunch.

So, with the big Showdown tween the Phantoms & Rings, we need more hands up. There must be shed loads of proud owners that wanna come show off.(their boats) Should be a great photo oportunity.
