Drivers August Poker Run:
Great day today, Plenty of Sun and a flat sea made for fast running. Superb hospitality from Gill & Co at Drivers. Altogether a great day.
Have to say that the Ring gave us a great ride giving us a 4th or 5th on most legs chasing Captain Chaos most of the time!! Great fun.
ML.

We had a fantastic day, perfect conditions for us; thanks to all at Drivers for making these days possible. I managed to take some very shakey video on my iphone while Fiona drove the leg to Beaulieu; you can clearly see her taking out Vee and Gordon!

Thanks Jon, for being such a good sport about the "candid photography"...
Being a particularly special sort of moron, i didn't think to ask if i could show them first... (musta bin over-excited by looking at all those boats!) and you would have had every right to take exception to that.
So here's to JF : A gentleman and scholar... with a good sense of humour!
Glad you all had a good time. Would love to take-up the offer of any spare seats next time (didn't need those fillings anyway!) ...perhaps with the added incentive of making a hefty contribution towards the fuel bill?
Finally got around to joining the Driver's Powerboat Club whilst down there too...

I am sorry it has taken us a while to post re the weekend but we have been clearing up!!!!
Special thanks to Paul(Renegade) and his mate who were just brilliant with helping to sort the hanger out and run around picking bbq’s up from Fiona P, thanks also to Fiona!
Neil and carl for helping us get the hanger ready for the party.
Neil Holmes for his quiz, a lot of work on his part and something we will do again in the future.
Binny and Scott as always a huge help and support and wonderful strawberries and ice cream.
John as always for his help and support.
Our Team at Drivers Dean, Mark, Boris and Baron Compton who work tirelessly the weeks running up to the PR.
But our biggest thank you goes to Lawrence (Chaos) for donating all his winnings to Ian Stirling’s charity. Thanks to his amazing generosity and all you good folk who put your hands in your pockets we have been able to send a cheque for £600 to the Willow Foundation in memory of Ian.

Not a problem mate. This post just goes to show that we have seem to have a great club going here as everyone helps out, even though some of us don't even know each others real names! I say to everyone who uses this site to come along to one of our events and see how good it is. Thanks so much once again to all at drivers for a great weekend, jon, thank you, scott and binny, thank you for the painful brain freeze, I could not eat that ice cream quick enough.
