Basically, a load of fast(ish) boats gather then zoom off to a series of designated points at each of which they are handed an envelope. The envelopes are kept sealed. Once you have collected the 5 envelopes you go back to the starting place, moor the boats and go to the evening 'do' during which the envelopes are opened. Each envelope contains a playing card and the cards from your 5 envelopes become your Poker hand. The one with the highest scoring hand wins the pot! Much food, drink and merriment follows.

Is there anything else you want to know?
