The dutch poker run was a real highlight for us in 2006. Driving though Rotterdam at the end of the 100 mile dash from the german border was a blast. Check out their website, there are some really good pictures. The 2007 event takes place on the 23/24th June and there is already an interesting list of entrys on the site. a good opportunity for those of you who thought you´d be bashing the Solent, that weekend.

I´m can´t join in the fun in Holland this year because I´m gonna be at Goodwood that weekend.

When you say 'Apache', you don't mean the Aronow/Kramer Apache, right?
Coz I'm certain that isn't one of those.

Could well be Gord.
Definitely a lot more Don S, than Don A
Completely different FWD rail design to the Cig/Apache style. and a very 'European' look.

Well that´s interesting that you say that. I certainly don´t know my way around the history of Apache, but saw a number of them on a Mcmanus display outside the Ft. Lauderdale show two years back, and the 47 in holland didn´t look like any of those.
The holland boat is aluminium, by the way! Does that help?

To the best of my knowledge, Apache have only ever built in GRP/Composite.
European origins for sure I would say. Very interesting indeed.
Maybe a 'one off' Ali, ex class one race boat thats been re-rigged for pleasure.

What i heard about this boat it hase been used in a warm country were the color of the water is blue , in the front of the boat hase been a watertight compartiment to stach a lot off stuff ......
The owner of the boat took the extra watertight room out when he bought it , so i was told .

I thought exactly the same thing but it seems Stain built a 42 (stretched 41) Apache in aluminium. It was done under licence I believe.

Just shows what I know. PJC says it's not a Cougar.

Stain
I worked for Stain, That No8 was Silvio Murcia's boat came over in 87 for C/T/C only time it did any good.................
That dutch one looks from the ali work def not Stain there work was cheap and nasty (but great boats)
That looks incredibly like the last Piccotti Don designed and they built, before CUV started up(building race boats)
