Basic races are usually 30-40 miles. If you said 40 and your engine say used 1.5ltrs per mile then you would be looking at 60ltrs for the race, allowing for getting to and from launching you would need a tank that held 70ltrs minimum. I assume it would be just basics you are looking at because your boat is too short for National racing. You could do the F200 series but you would need a tank capable of giving you a range of 70 miles.
A cleaver prop would give you stern lift which is the opposite to what you need.
You should be getting mid 60`s with your 175.
