I've got the tide tables from the PLA, the nearest they quote to Chatham is Southend-on Sea, Sunday 23, HW-13.42hrs (GMT), at my recovery point HW is 14.43hrs.
If the locking times are limited it's gunna be a very sprited run back.

The plan was to launch at Greenwich Yacht Club, but that may change to Chiswick.
GYC ain't too friendly about our sort of boats, they have to put-up with me because I pay my membership as do those of the rag & stick brigade.
Parking is OK for me, but for visitors it's a bit of see how GYC feel on the day! Overnight parking would be a problem, use of the slipway (£15) is allowed if it don't interfere with one of their " Races".

Chatham Lock is operational 24 hours day it is not constricted by the tide.

That's a real shame Barry. Would have been a good shakedown for it.

I am also going to pass on this one, it seems too much ag for a day out organising trailers etc and then a fifteen foot open boat might just be pushing me luck in the Estuary!
If this was later in the year we will have something very suitable for this run !
You will be calling us the IPO mob!

Motorvator 1
Motorvator 2
Athito
L'arc en soleil
Abaya
Fat Badger
Armanaleg
These seven are travelling up on Friday into St Cats and have a restaurant booked for 34 of us so expect to be a mess in the morning.
Taz is running up on the saturday morning as is onabudget I think.
I'm assuming pash1 will have a new end in his gearbox in time looking at his thread and I believe he is launching saturday morning at Chatham so he can go the wrong way! His missus has declared a wish to come aboard my boat as she doesn't trust him etc etc.
I need confirmation from:
Waynekerr
MikeK
Puppiesballs
Dan
MrRob
Blinddog
Skull666
Andymac
The Mutz Nutz
Carl
OCRDA
Andyxs
Dodgy Dave
Dangerous
Captain Chaos
Silversurfer
Roofer
I have pm'd you all separately.
Mat, Gazza, Daren, Mike R, Bad Boy, Hunton69, Atlantis, Jojoroar Have all confirmed here or otherwise that they cannot make it due to daft reasons like 'no engine on boat', 'Builder let me down', 'It wouldn't make it' etc etc.
Bad preparation I say
I've been keeping an eye on the long range weather forecast and it looks like the snow will miss us by a day Chatham is a bloody good place to warm up though.
We have a slight problem with the band as the bass player can't make it so it will be acoustic sets with the mic handed to anyone that can sing
If you look in the flyer you all need to let me know how many for grub and if anyone needs anything else taken along.
If we get this one off the ground I'll organise another late in the year incorporating Ramsgate and far flung places like Calais, so make sure you support it.

We should be in midday friday giving the opportunity to get totally carted before wandering into the restaurant and making a nuisance of ourselves.
(Carted: olde english version of carrying out boat preparation and general polishing duties)
And yes that is pathetic, just a couple of minor niggly items and you cancel out, christ only knows how you'll manage with the real boys on RB08
You'd be welcome to pop down for a drink etc if you're in the area Barry. I'm sure we could get you the ride down as well if you fancied it.
