20 / 21 ft hull

Looking for a 20/21 ft hull.

Doesn't need to be pretty but must be structurally sound. Don't need an engine but will consider anything

Pm me please!

Hey mate -

Definitely still planning on getting it repaired but Coxy's too busy with his house unfortunately, spoke to another guy who couldn't do it - got a few more people to try tomorrow. Also Coxy seemed to think it was going to be a pricey repair with the way it's split.

Only got 4 weeks so thought I'd better put something on here now to see if there's anything else about as another option.

I guess I may have been a little premature posting this but I know how long it took me to find the boat in the first place and getting it rigged etc. Plus I figured it wouldn't be the worst thing to have another decent hull over here for someone to get out there with.

I'll pm you my dad's number John. He's semi-retired though so might not be interested, but it's worth a go as he's bloody good!

It'd be a bit of a dog with a single on though I rekon... And may well need some work after a long spell outdoors without a cover.

Jon, sorry to hear about your Phantom, I missed the race on Sunday.

Maybe worth giving Mark Sauvarin a ring at Rohais Motors. 701117
His son has scruffy yuppy the ring 21, it used to race with a 225 Yam, he was looking to sell !!

All the best

Hello Jack! I owned Tickled Pink too, sold it to 2 guys who work at Boatworks...

Should have their details somewhere if anybody wants them...

Bet it'd be quicker than tickled pink! When you think about it, Franks P20 is 26 years old now! Scary that it's still so competetive!

What are you basing that on then?

Not an argument starter, but what is the difference between the two boats other then the colours?

Ring 18?

My old ring 18 is still around Dayglo Twister used to be Partners Restaurant's.
I could look into that if you like she was very quick but you had to keep your wits about you!!!!
Lively but great fun and solid.
Dave.

Cheers guys!

Still no luck on the repair front - spoke to your dad Paul but he's too busy unfortunately - thanks for the number though!

Keith Blanchard is away for two weeks so would be very close to the next race to find out if if he can do it.

Anybody got any thoughts on any one else who might be able to do a decent job please?

I know Scruffy Yuppy but not sure if she'd be up to racing - nice boat though.

Cheers Dave on the Ring 18 front - I'm pretty keen to get 20/21ft if possible though given that the next few races are probably going to be fairly rough though - cheers mate!

I went and had a look at a stepped and vented Ring 21 at lunch but it needs some work on the transom ( a bit soft) and seemed much heavier than the phantom. Nice looking boat though if anyone else is interested - they've got a 2008 200 HO too that they've done the gearbox in on and are looking to sell. Could be a good little project boat for someone not in a rush.

Cheers guys!

No worries mate, I thought he'd say no but it was worth a go

That stepped Ring with the HO either had a terrible driver, some serious set-up issues or it's just a plain old dog, but everytime I've seen it going it's been bouncing all over the place, even on flat calm days.

Osprey XR20 RIB hull any good to you? Great nick just needs a new fuel tank, floor & console but they're supposedly very very quick hulls

Jez Vaudin is good with glassing, try him.

That ring Paul is on about has serious potential, its the one with the air ducts that push air into the steps, Olly Abbott has it, it pretty sure he will let it go rather cheap as the harbour master wont let him use it anymore.. apparrently.
