Forgot to say,but the head was rebuilt at GB Watersports,with new liners,and has'nt been started.

Im after 2250ono...Its a good'n, had around 1250 worth of new internals and coils/stator.

Can you list what its had? which pistons are fitted?how much compression? steel bore or nicasil? how about some pics?

Sorry no pics Roofer,because its 70miles down the road at Peterbough with GB watersports. I can ask Greg if hell post some. He's off to Newsealand on sunday,but is creating it to me,when he gets back on the 18th,and if its no sold by then Ill send some pic's by the way,I no its got gold rings fitted,the rest is standard,apart from it having a 280 block,dont no what comp it has,but must be good having all new sleevs and I no the walls of the cylinders are spot on,it a very good motor,Greg has only used it for water skiing,Im selling cos Im having a Drag From Unkle Sam.

Its not a 200!

The block is a 280 because of the distributar mounting at the back of the block,Iv seen 280's before,but as for the motors history,well....All I no is that it was his motor,and he's rebuilt it.

Just found out that the motor with engine No. 9792689,is a genuine 260 with the 280 type block,year 15/10 97

Mercury was mixing them with the 260 when they was bringing out the 280.

The bock itself has no drill holes where the altornator is mounted on all 280's

So I hope this helps
