its for my mate, he reckons he hot a small hole in it which is allowing water into the cylinder

Sent you a PM I can pressure test it for you and laser weld it if it is porous but I'm a bit dubious unless he has an electrical issue.

cheers dude, i'll call him tomorrow and pass on the details, he blew it up hence the pitting in the head, just had it rebuilt and now still got water in cylinder

he had it pressure tested yesterday afternoon and it doesn't leak!!
back to square one again now guess he runs it again and then rechecks

So to try and stem the flood of PM's about cylinder heads, yes I can fix them BUT I only tend to fix ones that are difficult to find or not available anymore. A second hand 280 head is like the proverbial rocking horse pooh most other heads unless it's a one piece yamaha 70 ces are quite easy to come by second hand and so don't justify the considerable time it takes welding and re machining them.
