30ft ex-cruiser class racer

''flying flipper'' alias ''henderson doors'' is for sale as an un-started project. as henderson doors ,she competed in the 1984 round britain race with iveco diesel power. she was re-rigged with a single b.b.chevy and raced successfully from 1985 to 1990. the engine and drive have been removed and she hasn't been used since. structurally still in good condition. on a galvanised trailer[with all new parts to rebuild safely and legally]. included is a complete bravo-1 drive, a mercruiser loom and gauges , an l.p.gas conversion complete kit , marinised exhaust manifolds and water distribution system for big block chevy... p.m. me if you are seriously interested.....barry

[QUOTE=Virtual Insanity;123338]. she was re-rigged with a single b.b.chevy and raced successfully from 1985 to 1990.

The boat was rerigged to take twin 200hp Suzukis and was raced until 89 when DGS and I won the UKOBA National Championships in Cruiser Class B
Did about 60mph through anything

I'm confused. In 89 there were two Flying Flippers racing. DGS and Simeon in the outboard powered boat (subsequently campaigned by Dick Martindale as Obsession) and Webby in the single big block boat.

Which is the one for sale and which one was Henderson Doors?

this is alan webb's old ''flying flipper''. still got name , drivers' names , and race no. - p25 - painted on.
when i met him in summer 2002 he also had an outboard version - red with twin yamaha 250's. i believe he raced this after retiring ''flying flipper'' ....
