325hp Merc F1 Powerhead £1500

in Std form is a 280hp 2.0ltr powerhead designed for F1 Circuit racing

This one has higher compression heads and fuel system and was dynoed @ 325hp @11000 RPM

Runs on Av gas (Aviation fuel cheaper than pump gas obtainable from any friendly airport)

With std XR2 heads and a different fuel pump regulator will run on pump fuel.

comes with new Carbon fibre reed valves as spares

mint condition

This is a bargain and will drop onto any Merc 2 stroke V6 leg i.e XR2 2.5 efi etc

Very light cheap power

F1s do spin LH but you could change the starter.
If it came with a 12" mid and box it'll be mine.

It's a 2 ltr and spins R/H as it used to be on a Formula 3 Ski Boat before they went to 150's

I was told that the hours of operation for a rebuild where counted at RPM's above 7000 @ 20Hrs.

When i bought it i was told it had done very little high revs as the 2007 ski season was generally very short lived and mostly rough

I have removed the reed chest to inspect the pistons from the rear and you can clearly see there is no cracking of the piston skirts (A common problem on any over-revved Merc)
Also i leakdown tested and compression tested all was A-1.

I also have boreascoped (Camera on a stick) it and the bore walls look like new.

In all its internal condition is VERY VERY good so come on someone buy it!

Who or what company built the unit originally?
Was this rebuild at the end of the 2006 season?
Does the unit come with all receipts for work done and parts?

It was built by Nico Bertels, Bernico intl.

For team "Ghostbusters" I think as their spare powerhead
Then used for one short season by "Burty's" Ski racing mate "John" Bought on these forums and unused by myself. I am sure you could speak to either Nico or Burty for more information. All i know is it was the Nico "Works" engine..no expense or time spared as it was his own ski racing team.

If anyone wants to come foreward with more relavent info would be much appreciated
