454 Forged Pistons

Does anybody have or know where i can get a single 454 forged piston. Spoken to a couple of UK suppliers and they have said two weeks. My motor is ready to be put back together and need one quick. HELP please anyone!

I ordered it this afternoon, and I'll have it in the morning! Genuine one from Mercruiser, as specced by Roger.

One got a bit hot at some time and the piston ring has become one with the piston. Roger says it could be repaired but it would always be a weak link and a worry. I dont want a rod through the motor so have taken the decision to replace. Roger is doing a meticulous job making sure things are right. Hoping for a trouble free season like last year and a few extra mph. The motor was burning quite a bit of oil, the rings were worn so hopefully this will help.

I dont know if this happened in my ownership or before. The boat would only do 60mph all the time i have had it, after an engine refresh.........proofs in the pudding as they say. Will be testing soon.
