Help !!

I'm hoping somebody can identify the problem here as i am baffled

i have checked the part numbers for all "90" crankshafts from 1984 - 2006 and they all seem to be the same part number ( 688-11411-01-00 ) but the replacement crank i have is different to my origional, seems and measures identical apart from the bottom (pictured) where the seal is located, neither cranks seem to have any identifying numbers, I origionally thought that one was autolube and the other was not but that is not the case

Any ideas ? .......

1: origional
2: origional
3: replacement
4 replacement

all the bearings will be replaced anyway so not to worried, the journals have been well protected with wax during storage, but the big problem is the bottom mail oil seal dosen't reach the crank ...

Never owned a Yam let alone an 85 or 90.

Now if it was a 1960s chrysler 55 with points under the flywheel I could offer some useful advice

Autoelectric?? What a series of motors eh.

Always fancied of these. They had one on display at Eastwoods in Walton on Thames way back when.
