Hmmmn - Actually that is a very nice bit of kit. I would not mind buying that!!

What do you think it weighs?
It comes with the trailer.
What do you recon is the top speed?

Why is it no longer eligible for racing?

The season has just ended so the boat is still in Dubai.
Length: 14.30 m
Beam: 3.65 m
Depth: 1.5 m
Weight: 4800 kgs
Engines: Lamborghini L804V4
Valves: 48
Cylinder: 12
Power: 870hp per engine @ 788RPM engine will run to 8200RPM
Air Scoops: 62mm air restrictor
Gear Box: 1-1 Daytona SCS
Drop Box: Mercury
Drives: Mercury sterndrives dry sump 6
Rudder: Mercury
Propellers: Rolla
Fuel Tanks: 95 Octane pump gas - fuel injected consumption - 600 litres per race capacity - 800 litres (2 tanks)
Top Speed: Approx 160mph-255kmh
Instruments: Raymarine/TDD
Navigation: GPS
Builder: Cougar
Designer: Steve Curtis
Construction: Composites
Hull: Catamaran

these were the details for the boat fitted with the racing lambos. I think with the 2 Valve lamborghini the boat will be 10-20 mls slower.

I think Gianni Giorgi will buy a new one. Their are a few more competitive boats on the market. In Norway is the damaged Maritimo (a 2003 Victory boat) and the old Jotun from MTI for sale. And if I am right, Eduardo Polli has also his Highlander in his barn.

The boat was built 1996 as a set of two boat built for Kjell Rokke. Raced under the names: Brooks Athletics Shoes , GFN Gibellato, Seven Eleven. As the hull was built prior 1st Jan2001 it could be 12.0 to 14.63 Meters long so it should be eligable to race the boat in Class 1. Only boats built later than 1st Jan 2001 has to fit the new hull dimesions 12.19 - 13.42 Metres. Furthermore Class 1 would be very happy to welcome new teams so the C1 Comitee is be able to allow other hull/engine combos than the rules say. But again under the right of continuance the bout should be able to race. But for definitely Information you have to call the COMINOFF or the IOTA

Just a thought but these rules were the UIM rules. As Class 1 is seperating from the UIM and with the new founded WPPA(World Profesional Powerboat Assosiation) as the new governing body maybe new rules underway and Gianni decided fast to sell?

Hi Andree,i dont wont to contradict u,but i can say that gibellato has a new boat which is the yellow number 8 boat, but i think before having the new boat they also raced in the other yellow boat 2 years ago which is still racing and it also has sterndrives just like seven eleven ,so u could me confusing gibellatos old boat with the seven eleven boat, the new gibellato and the other yellow class1 boat are teamed up together.Unless seven eleven was also a gibellato in the past and i never new. In 2003 the boat raced under Gibellato 9 with Montavoci and Esperto as pilots. In 2004 Gianni Giorgi aquired the boat and it run under Roscioli Hotels 9with Nicola Giorgi and Mauro Esperto. Montavoci bought a Victory Cat and named it again Gibellato but No.8
2005 the cougar was the Roscioli Hotels again and in 2006 the SevenEleven.
regards
Andree
