Fancy a Boating Holiday in Salcombe?

I have just finished a website for my fathers property in Salcombe, place has been completely refurbished this over ran so we have no bookings yet for 2010.
Thus will offer the fine folk of Boatmad a 20% discount on the listed prices for 2010. You will need to contact me directly to get this, I will then amend the booking system for you.

http://www.salcombe-cottage.com/

Salocmbe is the best place for boating that i know of. There is a place for launching smaller boats at the bottom of the hill if you have larger craft you will be better off using the all tide slipway at Salcombe or the other slipway at Kingsbridge.

Can supply contact details for weekly moorings etc.

Place sleeps 6 and has a garden can walk to Ditch End (where we keep our boat when on holiday), beaches and ferry. All the best beaches are on this side of the estuary.

A bit more info for those that dont know the boating area

Excellent for boating holidays, you can cruise the estuary up to Kingsbridge to do the supermarket shop in your boat! On a high tide head up to Southpool creek its like going through the river in 007 Live and let die, at the end of the creek is one of the prettiest villages in England Southpool, the Millbrook pub serves excellent food has a stream with ducks for the kids and stepping stones and often has a BBQ going with great locally produced scrumpy and real ales on tap.

If you have a boat over 16 feet or so you can cruise along the coast to Hope cove for lunch or Elander cove a sheltered beach that you can only reach by boat, with extremely clear water for swimming off the bay.

As someone who has lived in Salcombe for quite a while now I can back up all of those claims - I would plan to be here on Spring tides if a visit to the Millbrook in the evening is your intention, otherwise it's a bit of a mud crawl - of course if you're on the Portlemouth side then the drive isn't as far as if you were coming from Salcombe!

Of course if it isn't Spring tides then day trips up to Kingsbridge during the day are possible, so it sort of works out one way or another!
