Hi, I have personally used a hotfoot and i much prefer this type because your foot actually is held in and doesnt slip out, The surface area that your foot presses on is almost doubled on an Argon.
Also the hot foot has a pregressive linkage system that IMO with any engine makes hard work for keeping the throttle open,Like an on/off switch... Also a weak point to fail.
You can get a better quality alternative to argon, Cookie sells them and fits them to his boats but i am sure they retail over £400.
