Help with Boat make.

I may have finally come to the right place. Does anyone know the make of my boat? I have attached an image - I'm sure it's there but it's also on my profile pic. thanks

That is a Chameleon 18'6" built by Unitex marine
A lot of Character there quite good in the rough.
In Guernsey we used to have a Deep Blue one with an old Johnson 135 that was called Mach 2. It had a moulded windscreen so the Perspex wouldn't shatter when raced.
born Free on here has family connections to this manufacturer and if you had an old set of trump powerboat cards you might see some old photos of 60s racers

Big Dutch you d man!!!

Thanks a million. I also think this is the red boat you referred to in your other post. I am giving it a light weight racing look with big harnesses. My first project in my whole of 4 months boating experience... I hope to pick up some useful stuff from your experience. Awesome!!!

Hi There,
Is this the boat that was on ebay a while back with a jet drive fitted ???
The first ever boat produced was Born Free which was built by SeeJen before they sold out to Unitex who went on to make yours and quite a few others !
Good luck with your Project and keep us informed with the progress
cheers for now

Chameleon.

Thanks a cha-million my boss. And yes, that's the boat with the jet drive. Got it off a very cool guy, Edward, he is also building a jet car... I am on a journey with my boat and there are friends along the way. Thanks for the detail - gives my boat some history. I have picked up information about my boat on here that is so cool I feel like I have been getting a new boat every time. I would like to know more, I am also checking the web... Any information or pointers will be greatly appreciated. I wanted to put carbon fibre seats in it but I have just been in a Vintage Bentley and the seats were a feast of fascinating... Top boy vs Bad boy... Her name is Dirty Ruby hahaha
