I'm after some engines!

Currently looking to re-engine my boat which is in Drivers at the moment!

Looking for inboards either petrol or diesel. Nothing too flash but I would hope to do over 50knots!

Dont want to spend a fortune so probably looking at petrols on legs! Can anyone recommend anything in the states I could lay my hands on whilst the dollar is good!

Dear Dictator!
From your profile I read you have outboards on your boat.
200 Hp I understand. Would your upgrade not be cheaper to take outboards again???? I have two beautiful 275 Merc´s At a reasonable price.
Would you be interested????

Yeh, and a spare set of powerheads too!

I can't think of an engine combo that would be more wrong on a cigarette though.

XR2's are not moving prices are down so fit four of the suckers, get some mount brackets made up, cheapest route unless some really marked down inboards with all the drives turn up, then you have to ask why so cheap. wont tear up the Solent but HP cost money.

EDIT: 50KTS fit 6 instead

could be keen to try some XR2s. What is the fuel economy? Do they sound good? I've just bought a 250 Merc EFI XL for the middle so could do with strapping a pair outside it when i get down to the Med.

Probably need to beef up my strap on a bit to take it!
