Mercury 150 powerhead
I have a Mercury 150 powerhead which I have taken off an Offshore Leg As I only wanted the leg And gearbox I ran before I took it off The leg and it seemed to run okay I have removed the heads to check what it's like And cleaned tops of pistons There was no scoring and was in fairly good condition from what I could see It's running low compression heads Which are standard from the factory It's Running 90 psi compression on all cylinders Which seemed a little low but there is no problem with pistons Heds are now back on and have been painted There is Know where in the cylinders and can still see honing marks It started on the button I Paul the Heds as was not particularly happy with compression I cannot see anything visible And they are all the same It has carburettors with Excelerator jets Which are real good if you want quick Off the line power Grab yourself a bargain As I don't run 2 Litre Engins I also understand that this has got the same reporting as an XR2 £600 call Keith 07886669198 Will post anywhere
