I haven't had it dyno tested but according to the mercury book here are the power outputs for the 2.4s
My merc manual shows 2.4 as follows:
2.4 laser 220hp
2.4 Bridgeport 220-240hp depending on year and induction
2.4 oval efi 230hp
2.4 ovalport carb modvp 253hp

So being a Mod VP it's a 253 BHP

Those modvp oval port engines run on avgas only as they have 180 psi. Stock compression puts them somewhere at 220, similar to a BP carb
