well if you are talking about cars too then.

1 escort mark2 gearbox
1 MG metro engine (still drove)
1 sierra XR4 engine (still drove)
7 Cosworth engines mainly let go at over 150mph (still got home everytime)
1 Fiesta XR2 engine (drove for 1mile before engine siezed, number 3 big end let go)
2 radio controlled car engines
1 mini moto engine
1 2.4 200
1 2.5 260

i think thats it

found out the cause of the fiesta engine and didn't even take it apart.

a big end cap with a number 3 stamped on it was embedded in the radiator

I can't remember when I last blew a motor up, so I've either got a shite memory, or i'm just not as 'good' as you.

Blown engine on the rc plane and the engine in my nitro vee rc boat twice as well!

Melted the motor on my modified electric rc boat as well running 14.4 V into a 7.2v motor run well quick for a few speed trail runs though, had to fit trim tabs to compensate for the torque!

So I was right with possibility 'B', I'm not as 'good' as you.

Key: exchange the word "good" for "stupid".

Jon,
Clearly I have not been trying hard enough either, cos in 13years of racing XR2`s I have never blown one up. Maybe I ought to hang up the helmet, or better still let Burty show me where I am going wrong, particularly as my engine has a standard flywheel so will be definately prone to letting go in the rough!!
