he was hit by a boat while racing in weymouth, he was in a comber and was in hospital for over 6 months, he is still in a wheel chair but is on the mend.

I last saw Ben at a fireworks do in Devon - his dad is John Ridd who does a lot of work for Vee who runs Thundercats and races P1 - he's running a Hustler this year! Anyway Ben is improving, but it's a long road and I'm sure the boat will make his day!
