Moulds for sale:-

For sale,

31'10" (9.7m) mono moulds. (Hull & Deck)

Steve Baker design hull, non stepped.

Hull & running surface of Phantom raceboat 031 'WARLORD', lengthened from original 30'7" (9.32m) to 31'10" (9.7m), and running surface altered to SB's current thinking to include pad keel etc. (with direct input from SB)

Moulds new in 2008, only one boat taken from tooling. ( Marathon E Class race boat 'Swipewipes' ), class winner of CTC, Marathon E class world speed record holder @ 74.52mph
Excellent rough water hull, with virtually idiot proof predictability.

Offers in excess of £15k invited.

Hi Jon

Does this include full rights and is there a royalty to pay to Baker on each boat?

All the best

Purely out of interest.
The boat/s produced from the moulds, would you be allowed to call it/them a Phantom 32 ?
Kind regards

James, I think it would be wrong to label it a Phantom, as it wasn't built by them, and the deck is not a Steve Baker design, only the hull.

We have never called it a Phantom 'product', or claimed it to be one. (I'm referring to the Swipewipes boat).
That's all I can say really.

As I said it was purely out of interest.
Awesome boat, I wish anyone well who takes the product forward.
Not enough British brands in the marine industry, and those that are there need all the support we can give them.

No, it's not as simple as that.

It's isn't a simple 24 degree deadrise, neither is the 28.

The centre portion of the 28 is 20 degrees (between the second spray rails out), the outer portion is 24 degrees.
It isn't a completely 'constant' deadrise either, it has some warp so the deadrise steepens toward the bows.

The 32 is very similar, but has a bit less warp, and in addition to the 'double deadrise' of the 28 it also has a pad keel between the inner most spray rails (pad being about 15 degree) similar to that of the later P20/P21/P23.

On the South Coast Poker run entry sheet it's named as a Phantom?
