NEW Barracuda 175 (abcast 17)
Hi now have for sale a brand new Barracuda 175 (formally abcast) its a great looking boat and handels well. It has a stepped hull and is a great speed/race boat.
its white and new, no holes drilled and nothing fitted.
WHAT YOU GET: Hull and deck joined, stringgers and fitted, glassed floor and the inside has been gel washed ready for you to fit out to your tasts.
Will add some better photos and also some footage of my one fitted with a Yamaha 130.
special price for first 3 boats only £2500 each
other work can be carried out by request and at extra cost if required.
for serious customers a test drive in mine can be arranged.
cheers Adie

Hi Bob, thanks, yes doing a special price as i really want to see some boats out there and performing well.
Really hoping to get mine out and about, wanted to get round to cowes week but graphics for the boat were not ready in time and the weather was so rubbish and choppy. the one i currently have is blue, however after seeing how clean and nice a white one looks that what i want for myself now. will get it stickered up and get out.
Planning to be out and about for cowes week next year. im hoping that one of the first boats may be used for racing if not i will step up to the mark and give it a try.
Hi Tris Boat is in brading, as for kitting a boat out it all depends on spec, and what engine is chosen??? normal price for a finished boat including trailer, steering 2x bucket seats built in fuel tank and battery ready to race but Excluding engine is £5950, spoken to Andy at bms in Bembridge he has seen the boat and thinks a Evinrude 115 etec would go well on the back, he can supply one and fit it including all gauges and controll for about £9500 if not you can get a Mariner 115 optimax including gauges £6,999 not fitted
so i think its safe to say a fully fited out boat all NEW ready to race would be around £14k of you could save some money by buying a hull and deck and fitting out yourself.
Also worth a mention of course a boat can be made in any colour, and for now, at no extra cost.
if you want to view the boat pm me and i will give you my mobile.
cheers!

more images, including during build before joined. note: only one hatch needed on the floor and the under floor space will be air tight and provide ample build in boyancy to keep her afloat what ever happens

I haven't had any need to read the OCR rules for quite a while now - have they always been alowed or is it a more recent rule change (unintentional or not!)
CE not required for racing use! (if that's why you were asking)

I knew that but then that wasn't the question. So I take it the answer is no.

canopys???
thinking about making some canopys to section off unused space when racing. Either section off the back just leaving 2 front seats or/and one to cover the sides if you have navigator behind driver. i would make them so they can be fitted for racing but removable for the rest of the time. What do you guys think?
cheers.

That would be great, I would be very interested in one of a larger size. I think bigger ones would be more popular. Good luck.
Cheers, Jack
