Yep, it fits mystery boats perfectly! I can even screw it permenently to 'full throttle' if required!

I think I've worked out who brought the V24 in Guernsey!

Don't know who you are but look forward to seeing it go!

Foot throttle

Hi do you still have stock of your foot throttles if so how much?
Regards
Harry

After a few weeks of testing, waiting for parts and more testing, our new foot throttles are now ready to go, adding to the range of hand controls and trim etc indicators we offer.

As per usual, they're kept as simple yet as attractive as possible, whilst offering a throttle which can be used for any push or pull application with just a simple re-positioning of the actuating lever. Bolted to the bottom (as in the pics) gives a pull for throttle as per mercury engines, whilst bolting it to the top of the arm gives a push throttle as per evinrude or yamaha.

Construction

Construction is entirely from 316 stainless steel other than the bronze bushes on all rotation points. The two main parts are CNC cut from 2mm sheet. This makes for a unit which stays looking good with no corrosion of any form, whilst being indestructable under normal racing use. No more cracked cast ally parts leaving you with the orange flag up!

Design

There are several subtle design features which seperate this unit from others on the market.
  • Twin return springs, if one fails the other will still return
  • Adjustable limit stops for idle and full throttle
  • 4 position adjustable return spring tensioner
  • All parts contained safely behind pedal where they can't be hit by flailing feet!
  • Large supportive pedal capable of taking a size 13 shoe
  • Pedal hinged 2" from bottom allowing you to brace against the pedal without throttling, more control when landing hard!
  • 5mm thick main armature currently with 10mm linkage with rose joints. (this linkage may be replaced with another 5mm linkage to give more simplicity).
  • Bronze bushes on all moving parts for longer life

Pricing

These throttles are now available at £175 each, we can supply 33c cables to suit at extra cost if required.

To conclude, I don't believe there's a better foot throttle on the market, let alone one specifically designed for hard offshore use. Our main aim was to create a throttle able to withstand the hardest of use in offshore race boats, no matter what the engine. This throttle can be made to accomodate twin engine boats on request.

If anyone has any questions, suggestions or observations, please feel free to let me know.

All the best,

James[/QUOTE]
