Hi Dowdy, it's Julie Prowse previous Club Secretary/bar tender/time keeper etc. Gave it all up when children came along and haven't had much to do with boats in recent years. Spent the first weekend in years down on the Llyn Peninsular a couple of weeks ago and hopefully back down next weekend. Should never have given it up! Unfortunately my wetsuits now fit my daughters though not me

Public slip in the middle same format as New brighton ,sow your bits and pieces to harbour master and pay the dues or the private slip to the right of it and let me mate Pugsy put you in and recover you for £14 or join the boat club to the left and get your own key to their private slip, bar has been done out,new pool table, showers, food on tap, depends how often yo is coming down,if yo is going to be a regular join the club, otherwise Pugsy.Lot better than New Brighton aint it?

I haven't seen either Ged or Rob Yate for a few years, bumped into Ged in the 3 stags about 4-5 years ago and think he lives in Raby Mere. Presume Robbie is still up Wallasey way. I haven't seen any of the Symington's for a few years though I do see Linda (Symington) and Keith regularly but they don't speak to the rest of the family.
It was great to be back down Pwllheli way though I always remembered going on a donut as fun - certainly wasn't!

Anyone remember this boat raced by Stan Dorian very slim like a "Cigarette" seem to remember it took all before it throughout the NW and as far as Newcastle,
I "raced" a Phantom 16 "Mirage"

Remember now it was a Crusader called "Exocet" and I remember people such as Denny Davies,Joe,David,Robbie,Ken, a lady called Julie who did most/all the results
A racer called Guido "The Maltese Falcon" and nearly getting filled in by someone from up Blackpool Way when I stopped a race when we lost umpteen boats at the first turn New Brighton was certainly the place; apologies to those whose names I don't remember
Remember having to make a rule that you had to finish with the same number of crew members you started with...

Wallasey Power Boat & Ski Club
I was a member of WPB&SC in the late 70's and early 80's. The lads I remember were Club President Dave Reid, Doug Kerr, Ernie Butchart, Joe Atherton and his daughter Karen, Billy Davis (a driving instructor) and a few others whose names escape me now
