I always think that after (say) 4 years price more or less gets decided by spec & condition. So I think a P21 of that year could be worth £8k.. however I also think its possible for a P21 of that year to be worth its weight as scrap.......... so who konws??

Trailer is worth £1000 I s'pose?

i have been all over the boat, sunday just gone, lets put it this way, the trailer is too good for the boat, its been sitting in the water for ages and the gel goat all round the back and underside is gone, poppers for the cover are missing and have split the deck. deck dont match the hull (colour) and the interior is in a right state, its a 1000-1500 quid boat needing about 4-5k spending on it! shame it one of the only ones still up for grabs, unless anyone knws any i dont!??

in the NL there are more then a few (most of the time dutch built but P21 nevertheless). Think I 've seen a few pictures of them on here. The guys who go the NL for the races @ Harderwijk must have seen a few.

The boats you speak of in Holland are copies, not original Steve Baker hulls.
Probably best to leave it at that........

The red Phantom was owned by the ex-commodore of the Varne Boat Club. He must have sold it on or things must have changed when the boat was moored in the marina because he previously kept it absolutely immaculate. The Animal (Karl) from Whitstable painted the deck. I've seen a few races at Harderwijk and raced there myself twice but I never remember seeing a Phantom 21 there made anywhere other than Kent. 20's maybe but not 21's.

for starters http://boatmad.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3781
this is a 23, to my knowledge (and of phantoms I dont know too much) there's 20, 21 and 23 dutch built phantoms. all looking just as great as the uk ones (at least that is my opinion).

there have been more posts on boatmad on dutch phantoms.

A key point!

Just as the Chinese 'Rolex's' do, at a mere $20.

But in the same way, they're not Rolex's, and Dutch built boats are not Phantoms, because Phantoms were built in England.

Lets leave it there eh.
