Larby's right! We took out a Yamaha FX SHO (supercharged 1800, over 200hp) last summer, as my mate worked at the dealership and the boss lent him one for the weekend. Stupidly stupidly quick, we highsided at 65mph and I couldn't walk properly for a week...
If I had a choice it'd be the Phantom all day long!

Yup. I mean, they're proper mental, but they're a bit of a one trick pony in my mind and a bit to easy for it to all go tits up on! I wouldn't want a ski unless I had a boat too, they get very boring very fast... I've got a few mates who've sold a boat for one and regretted it!

Thats a stunning set up, far too fast for me but I think you regret selling that. Jet ski's get very boring very quick. Worked for Kawasaki UK had to test them some times in the local lake. Great in the summer boring in the winter with frost on the ground. At least you stay relatively dry and warm in a boat. Far better sitting in a plastic tub, than sitting on a bucking bronco saddle. Jet ski's always need wet suit and life vest and with 200bhp a helmet too.
Probably going to get shot down in flames here but Jet drives are very inefficient but safe on jet ski's. That's why they have high bhp to weight ratio and are always thrashed and engines let go. Like you said your boat does 82mph and more to go, You could properly cruise all day at half throttle and 65mph and it would probably go on for years. Big engine, less power needed, lower stress engines live longer.
Stay away from the bright lights
