is the engine really 220HP? Is the XRi related to the XR2?

That's what they claimed, but I think 200 is more realistic.

No connection with the XR2, it's the old 2.4 litre motor, with a domestic fuel injection system (not like the 2.4, or 2.5 EFI with horn, it has 3 twin choke throttle bodies)

It's an 80's motor

Had a 220 XRi on a P21 (Slipstream) for about 5 years in the
early 90s.
A few minor niggles but in general an excellent motor.

HIGHEST BIDDER

I would say that soosiesuse has been bidding this up.
Look at the bid history.......why would you bid against yourself six times?

No, what that means is that the bidder above him, marketinggiant, bid 6 times before he outbid soosiesuse.

They didn't, the bid history doesn't show the automatic bids (which would interlace the 6 you speak of, if they were shown)

There was already a higher bid made earlier on, so he was just bidding up to find out what that was.

Wrong. soosiesuse was the highest bidder from 2,260 onwards until marketinggiant finally put a big enough bid in to beat him. Took him 6 attempts to find out how much he would have to bid before he would be the highest bidder.

Exactly, so the autobid, bettered the bid each time, but those autobids are not shown. Didn't I already say that?
