No idea what planet you come from chum but if you are going to insult the late great Steve Baker and his products on Boatmad then you need to either read up on his history (and the P25's) and apologise or go back to where ever it is you came from.

Re nice looking boat

You obviously dont know your Phantoms as my boat is a Steve Baker original Phantom laid up in Aramat. Check out Beyond Obsession P25 build on this site.

They were built for racing hence why they mostly cracked after 6-7 outings.
Bakers boats were nice to look at not badly priced but I would have a ring 21-26 all day long. I’ve had over 10 mike ring 21-26 and I’m sorry to say that bakers phantom couldn’t stand the test of time.

I bet won a lot more races though. The rings are lovely semi race / family boats. Phantoms a bit more hardcore.

Have you ever owned or been in a Phantom? Mine is a 30 year old P20 and isn’t cracked, I think it’s seen it’s fair share of action in that time. Depends if you know how to drive and land them off jumps I suppose. My pal has a Ring 20d, nice boats but not as nice as the Phantoms and it’s nowhere near as stable or smooth in the rough as my P20. The late great Steve Baker was the man IMO

It’s a strange thing to come on this site to knock a very popular boat among boatmad users
All have opinions
In my opinion a phantom is a hard boat to beat both on looks and particularly on build quality
My phantom is a strong boat that handles very well for its size and when it gets rough not many boats will keep up with a phantom ( late p21 aromat build )

As mike said it would be good to see boats from a iconic time been re built
The phantom hull I believe is still under a lot of ribs been built today but would be good to see as a power boat
I know there are a few splash types still claim to be phantoms

Hi
Not sure what you are trying to get at
Who I am and what boating experience I have is not important
( even if I wasn’t known to you )
And I do not expect to be called names
If you don’t like phantoms leave this post to those that do
And stop insulting people

I would expect an apology for your insulting comments to me

I don’t race mine but have a lot years of fast boating under me ( and work in the trade for over 25 years)

As a new user to Boatmad Pal, you need to understand that rude and aggressive language to other long term users is not tolerated on this site. One more rude post and you are out!!
