That's a very good point!

Actually, I 'assumed' the decals to be correct, as not that many people know about the 600, so not sure why it would get wrongly decaled.

However, after reading your post, and looking more closely at the pictures, I don't think it is

The 'Phantom pad' looks to be fairly visible on the transom shot, so i guess it's a 20.

It's a 20' chaps as I skied behind it years ago when it was owned by a mate in Exmouth, it was a shed then!

think your right stu,i can remember looking down the side of the boat,and there was a mark left where some old stickers had been saying phantom 600

new boat is excellent,when it comes to boats size does matter know what you mean about missing the phantom though,good fun boats

The original design 600 (6 metre) had an unwelcome handling quirk that soon became apparent. Steve reworked the centre running surface to sort it out and the model designation of the revised hull design reverted to the traditional imperial type.., P20.

The 'phantom pad' that came from that development work was later incorporated in all the subsequent re-vamps and new models.
