Revenger 25 Hull, Trailer etc.

Hi All,

Well this has come as a suprise to me let alone everyone else, but I came across an opportunity I couldn't miss to buy a B28 so the Revenger is going up for sale!
I can't quite believe it after all this time and effort but that's life, it's been an amazing experience rebuilding her. It's my absolute pride and joy, I wish I didn't have to do this, but the 28 is just a once in a lifetime opportunity!

Enough of the waffle. Up for sale is my Revenger 25. She'll come with a great condition twin axle trailer, brand new fuel tank, stainless rub strip, flush hatch, custom engine brace if required and trim tabs with pump etc. There's a possibility of it coming with more, but that'd be with negotiation.

The hull itself has been taken back to bare bones and fully rebuilt with new floors, stringers etc etc, the rebuild thread says it all. I had no intention at all of selling this boat so I've taken an immense amount of time to make sure everything is just right.

It's an incredibly capable offshore hull, rare as hell and now very well built. You know what you're getting, it's not full of rot like most old racers as I've had the hassle of sorting all that!! Couldbe used for race, poker run or leisure and has a good size cuddy cabin in the front.

Collection is from Guernsey obviously or I'd happily ship to the UK for about £200, that should be about right!

I'm open to offers at this stage. If someone wants it, tell me what you feel it's worth. I'm not going to be asking a fortune, especially compared to the prices of P25's in unknown state etc!

It's currently rigged to take a BBC and a DPX drive, but this could be changed back to Bravo or even outboards if that's what someone wants!

Strictly serious enquiries only please, I don't have time for dreamers etc.

I'll also shortly have two circa 1999 xr2's available, either as complete bolt on motors with as-new 20" legs and gearboxes or as powerheads.

Forgot to mention I would be prepared to consider part ex for either a decent outboard or whole rig so I've got something to race locally till the B28 is done.
I'd also consider a tow truck with decent towing ability, but it'd have to be short, thinking landy 90 or something, pref V8.

This could be a great opportunity for someone to upsize for next to no money! It'd take a big or small block as they mount up the same, I could possibly supply a DPX drive for a little extra too

Cheers, James

Happy to talk about doing a deal Mark, I'd be glad to see it go to a good home! You said you missed her!

James, how could you sell it when it’s so close to being finished and after all the hard work you have put into it.

Was really looking forward to meeting up and chatting boats and boat building this summer, with me in my Cougar and you in the Revenger.

Hey Ho, suppose it will make someone a lovely boat and you must have leaned much from it.

So any news or pic’s of the new project then ?

I was looking forward to meeting up this year too, it'd make a change to have a boat in the water!!
Never mind, it's been a great experience and I'm more than happy with the new plan! I'll get some pics up as I go with the new B28, it'll be an awesome project once finished and I'm determined to get it in for next season!!

Having had contact from quite a few people now I've decided upon a price. I can't stand mystical sales so was feeling a little hypocritical!

I'd like £5000 but I'm open to offers. Considering that would normally buy you a tatty 21 footer with an old outboard on the back, I'd say it's a bloody bargain!

That includes immaculate hull, great condition trailer, new fuel tank, trim tabs with new pump, polished stainless stud mounted (so no bolt heads showing!) rub strip, all floors etc, cutouts for side upholstery, custom CNC engine mount/brace, flush bow hatch and cabin door.

I've done absolutely all the hard work, it just needs an engine, drive and rigging to be ready to go. Bravo's can be had for under £1k and a good small/bigblock can be had for about £2k so it would be on the water running for little over £8k and a bit of time. Not bad at all!

If you want to stick with the DPX route, I can get a NOS DPX with transom assy etc by seperate negotiation. Don't forget it could also be rigged with outboards if you prefer!

I'm still open to offers of part ex etc for a smaller ring/phantom to give me something to use until the 28 is done, or a landy 90. Or anything interesting for that matter!

Cheers, James
