I've seen the 21 ring before, ir used to have two 2.5's on the back hence the huge fuel tank extending in front of the rear seat. It was used for ski racing it had number 34 on the side ( big clue to who the owner is/was)

Mr Harvey took it to the worlds in Spain in 99 as a back up boat for Cally to the inboard "Plus One", hence the name on this one "Another One". I think it was originally one of Jim Cramphorns twins.

Wasn't it the twin that Phil Diamond rigged for Ken Thorne?

No, that one sits in Gregg Bassams yard, was Tangerine dream then Plaything when Malcom Roff had it. Thats where my 2.5 poweheads came from. The boat is still there minus engines. Nice little project for you Gary!

I was looking at getting a Donzi 22zx from America, but one in UK is easier... I see the guys reserve was 18k, anyone reckon thats a fair price? If not, what do you reckon would be?? Also, I thought the 7.4MPI was 310hp?

Cheers
Jack

I'm not sure where the boat came from originally but it was involved in an incident with another boat in a race ( maybe penarth ) I cant remember the name of the guy of the boat it hit but I am led to believe it was this one (obviously before these guys had it). I think Nigel Newland used to ski behind it.

There seems to be loads of conflicting stories about the HP of these motors, but if you do a google search and read some old boat tests 310hp seems to crop up the most. That would be propshaft hp, crank hp is a claimed 330, which is the same as the claimed hp of the old 7.4L carbed motor! I always thought the Merc figures were 360 ish for the MPi, and 415 for the Mag MPi, but it's quite a few years since I last supplied either, as they stopped producing them quite a while ago.

This is quite interesting.... http://www.perfprotech.com/home/tech...eplacement.htm

Found an old price list of mine, with engine options and stated horsepower figures, which were taken from the then current mercruiser brochure. These would be crankshaft output, so you'd need to subtract 20+ hp from them for propshaft figures.
