That boat was the very first one with the newer style deck. built in 1995.

The chap that bought it from new used it twice in 4 years! we bought it back in 1999, i used the boat for about 18 months, in which time i managed to run the oil tank dry and knackered the big end shells. It had a rebuild, and ran very nicely! it was quicker than my mates 60 Yam on same type hull!

I fitted the ski frame.

IMHO this was the best setup 14 i ever drove .

So as you gained experience & knowledge you set the later ones up less well?

no not really, it was the only one i spent a lot of time using! and the only 50 hp we ever fitted..... which seemed to suit the boat very well

I've been in touch with the owner of this boat and he says he bought it in Telford in 2003. My mate is looking for a boat at the moment and it looked ideal.
Anything more you can tell me about the boat and engine setup Gav?
What sort of speed was it good for, how was it on fuel etc?
Is that the same motor you fitted originally?
cheers
Jiz
