Tropical Hardwood

I have some lengths of tropical hardwood that i don't really have a use for... and can be yours for the taking. A small donation towards the Maltese Magnum II Restoration Fund would be appreciated, but not essential in these harsh economic times.

It's a bit heavy for any application in the raceboat, but might suit someone restoring a cruiser, river or inland waterways boat

Not sure if it's sustainably-sourced, FSC certificated (as it should be!) or what - but it's even more of a sin that, having harvested it, it should not be put to good use... preferably for making something that will be equally durable.

Could be Iroko (be warned: you have to have specialist equipment for machining this in the UK as the dust is dodgy!) or Sapele... anyway it's a fairly even-grained, reddish-coloured, mahogany substitute. It came from a conservatory, there are a few 5'x 6"x 1" planks, the remainder are 2"-3"x 3" thickness, mostly four or five feet long and the max lengths are about six foot...

I have about four or five times the amount shown in the picture.

Hope someone will have a use for it. Come and have a look at the boat whilst you're about it. P.m. me for more details
