Turbo Boost gauges

Hi,

I´m looking for a couple of turbo boost gauges. Apparently the danger level is when they exceed 11psi. Any ideas of a Uk supplier or anyone got a couple to sell.

Pete

Can´t find the gauges on there but the other kit looks interesting. The thought of diesel and water is a little concerning though. The part about 10 to 15% more HP sounds very interesting though.

we use water inj on any high boost engines we do and its a great insurance against melted pistons plus the reduction in cylinder temperature reduces the load on the oil cooling and the turbo and the cooling systems .
diesel engines produce a lot of heat for there power output so i think it would be a good investment.

It sounds like you know your stuff Mr Cosworth. I guess you should, with a name like that. The way you explain this it makes perfect sense. Is there anywhere I could read up on this system? Certainly sounds like a good safety feature.

Still looking for the boost gauges and I think maybe a couple of EGT gauges.

Any ideas guys

Pete

Oooops, found them here http://www.methanol-injection.co.uk : They do look good but they will be hard to match in the dash board. I have the standard (old fashioned) ridged face, black surround. I will need to find something very cheap or decide on a full set of gauges. Trouble is, I have Fuel, Temp, Batt, Oil, Trim and a big RPM, on each side, then a Large speedo in the middle. So, with the turbo extras, that will be 17 gauges in total.

Any ideas or suppliers?

I use a combined exhaust and boost pressure gauge sourced from Demon Tweaks. It works fine (5 years so far) but it's in a cabin. Exhaust temp is well worth monitoring IMHO. Boost pressure levels probably vary according to engine type and setup, my Volvo cruises at about 17psi and reaches the high twenties flat out.
