WANTED - 200XS Cylinder Head

Hi all

I am still looking for a right hand side cylinder head for a 2006 200 XS.
Believe the part number is 840286-C

Hopefully there is one out there?

Hi Olly,

I can't remember exactly what you said about the cylinder head but did you say it was a dodgy thread on one of the plugs?

Just an idea (and i'll probably get a load of s#*t for it!!) but have you thought about fitting a heli-coil? They make them especially for spark plug threads and it might get you going again.... I've used them before on other engines and had good results... Be interesting to know if anyone's used one on a merc powerhead before? Besides, even if the heli-coil let go, I don't see it being able to get pulled into the cylinder because from what I remember the hole reduces in diameter rapidly beyond the end of the thread?

Anyways just a thought, someone will probably advise otherwise!

Had a 200hp black max with a heli-coil in a sparkplug treat , never had any problems although i replaced the sparkplugs every year .
