wanted: alien cowl skirt

im not sure if the cowl i have is a stock or aftermarket so pic of it below, its fibreglass
looking for a skirt more than a tray, but anything considered. must suit XR2 with offshore leg

i cant help you but are you looking for the base pan or the skirt?
base pan is what fits betweem leg and power head that the cowl in your picture fits onto.
skirt is a smaller piece that connects to the base pan to cover the tuner adaptor
looking at your picture i would say that cowl was a copy

ah ok, i understad now, thanks burty
in that case i am loooking for both the base pan and the skirt, the cowl i have at the moment is a 2.4 mod vp cowl and the base pan is far smaller than the alien base pan obviously.

IMO you would be better buying a matched set unless you can try before you buy as there will be a good chance your copy cowl wont fit onto someone elses copy base pan

thanks burty, and every1 else that pm'd me.
i have managed to find a compleate cowl/tray/skirt in mint condition at a reasonable price so makes sense as the cowl i have needs a repair or 2 and a spray so be quicker and easier just to buy the matching set

I understand your point burry, but unless the cowls both moulds were built from were diferent sizes I can't see how they wouldn't fit!
If it's a little loose, a few mil can be shaved off the tray to tighten it up, depending on what trim is used.
We use the same tray for 2.5 & 300X cowls.
