Wanted: Chevy 502 Big Block/Tall Deck Distributor

Hello, I'm after a distributor and performance manifold for Mercruiser/Chevy Big Block 502 tall deck. Will be fitted with Holley carb rather than injection. Any help is much appreciated. Cheers Russell

Are you sure you mean tall deck? A 502 usually is std deck.

Hi Kerry,
Always fannying with that boat! I've got an 8.2 Big Block that was rebuilt once, but i'm taking to bits to check before it goes into my boat. I've been told that standard length distrubutors don't fit, but can't check as i haven't got an inlet manifold for it yet!! Also, not sure if it's a tall deck or not as my Big Block Chevy book stops at the 454ci. I'll phone RealSteel on Monday and see what they have to say.

Cheers Matt, It'll be good if that's the case as I have spares for the standard deck.

Hi Tony, Thanks for your reply. I've been busy with work, so haven't had a chance to check engine numbers to see for if it's a tall deck or not. The engine's in my Dads workshop in Dorset and i'm in Sussex! As soon as i know what I need, I'll be in contact. Thanks again. Russ

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I need to check engine numbers first, but if the inlet manifold is what I need, I be in contact. Thanks again. Russ
