Are you going to use the cleaver for your new 23 ft v bottem ?
If so ,you better off with a chopper or even better a throphy or something like that,preferably with round ears and lots cupping to lift the bow up .
The cleaver style will work on very light V pad boats with natural bow lift ,or trimarans or cats ,I have never had a cleaver work on such combo,s ,because they tend to lift the stern .
See if you can locate an old 22 pitch Throphy with big diameter hub,those are exelent bow lifters

I know that Choppers are better for big mono hulls but I thought that cleavers also works well
