Wanted...In-Control hand throttle adapter

Hi all. I managed to buy an In-Control foot throttle for someone on here, many months ago but am still waiting for the adapter, to use the hand throttle, with the foot throttle. Summer is coming and the goose is already roasted. Run out of parsnips and the carrots suck.

Can anyone actualy suply this part?

Pete

I've got that kit fitted, excellent bit of kit.
I've got the fitting instructions (with line sketches), if you've got a local machine shop, they may be able to knock one up for you.
Other than that start with http://www.cpperformance.com/detail.aspx?ID=3440 it may lead you to the part your "still waiting for"!

Hi Wayne, Yes please. Anything you have would help. If the drawings have any measurements on them it would be perfect. Either way, it will give me something to show a machine shop.

Thanks

Pete

Hi Glen, I think you're right. I can't find it on their website anywhere. I was told, by the company who supplied the foot throttle, that they could get one but nothing as yet.

Maybe someone will have an "Old Stock"one laying around or if I can get some pictures etc, maybe I can get one made here.

Yeh, sort of. They've discontinued the old style hand throttle adapter, and brought out a new foot throttle with the new unit attached. You now have to specify with or without when you buy a pedal.

I've just brought a "new style" in, and managed to get my hands on a couple of the old style adapters, one of them is for Mr Swipes, the other is for a customer of Marinautics!

Thanks Tony, wish you had told me that, when I bought the "old stock" throttle from you and you assured me that you could supply the hand throttle adapter.

Anyone have a genuine idea around this? or an old adapter laying around?

Looks like the answer is to get the piece made, if I can get more detailed measurements. Anyone got one and a good tape measure?.

Pete

Well, That isn't quite how I remember it, as I seem to recall that you bought the throttle from Marinautic, for which I have got them an adapter for it!

Infact, I'm sure there's a PM from them to you telling you that as soon as they can put a big enough trade order together, they'd get you one!

It's not actually an "old style" throttle that was supplied to you, if you read my fist post you'll see that it's the adapter that has an old and a new type.

The only thing that has changed on the pedal is the removal of the spring, as the tension is now carried out at the engine end, meaning that the cable assembly is alot more expensive.

If you want an adapter, (old style) then I'll send you one, or if it's easier you can contact john at Incontrol and order one for yourself, I believe he still has some stock.

The only reason the design has changed is to make the installation easier, and it's possible to fit the new style adapter to an existing throttle.

Either way, the choice is yours, let me know what you want me to do with the adapter that I have for you....

Oh, and here's a copy of the pm's you had with Marinautic!!!!!

Hi Tony, Thanks for adding the "Private messages". As you, and all, can see, These messages have been going on for some time now. Yet, there has been no appearance of the adapter. All I would like, is the correct adapter, for the throttle I bought, to adapt the hand throttle options, as I originally asked for. Weather the units come from you, or whoever, I trust that you will appreciate, I am an end user and have to trust the supplier / suppliers, to supply what was asked for.

Maybe, if my questions had been answered, in a reasonable time, I would have had some idea what I was doing.

I would be gratefull if someone could supply the correct adapter, for the throttle I bought. Failing that, someone who understands measurements and can gieme a schimatic for the actual part. "Wayne" Your offer is not needed, Thanks anyway.

Pete

PS, if I remember right, Tony helped me with the Throttle cable adapters before and I´m obviously very grateful for this. If there is any connection between marinautique (or whatever the name is) and Tony, I dont know. All I want is the part I am looking for. Sorry for any confusion.

Pete
