Wanted - P20/21 hull

Hi all,

I've got a customer over here in Guernsey who's looking for a good condition P20 or 21. Hull only, any level of rigging or not is fine. He's got cash waiting and i'd be collecting the boat personally.
PM's, email larbys@live.co.uk or call 07781 122 363

Cheers, James

Hi Ashley,

Thanks for the link but that wouldn't be in anywhere near good enough condition, especially the interior. He's looking for something without too many stress cracks for starters. Interior could be re-trimmed if need's be. I know he's asking a lot, but he's got the cash to back it!

Does your mate want it to look pretty or go right !!!!!!!!!!

A race boat with no stress marks just means you aint been driving hard enough.

More important to look for good tanks/steering/tabs, cosmetics like upholstery are easily rectified.

Theres nothing wrong with wanting to buy something all in perfect nick but they can be very hard to find and it doesnt give any chance to make the boat your own.
Spose its ok if you dont have the time to put in.

Both!

We'd have a hard time making a well set up but tatty racer look mint again. He's looking for a mint, preferably non raced hull to start with. From there i can rig it with whatever steering etc he wishes, hopefully the best. Tanks can be replaced if they're not up to scratch, but that'd all form part of whether a boat is mint or not.
I don't believe a P21 needs tabs if it's set up and driven properly, though he may add them for ease of use anyhoo, we'll see.

depends what motor you go for, if rigged with a 2.5 like it should be then tabs are a no no however if a modern heavy motor is hanging off the back then tabs are a must to stop the twist of the massive pitch prop you'll have to run

Couldn't agree more. Hopefully she'll be getting rigged with a 2.5 of some form, thet's what i'll be telling him to go for. I'm a great fan of the 2.5 200 carb motors for a mix of leisure and race use, maybe with a bit of exhaust work and different reeds.

Thanks for the offer John but i'm not a big fan of that boat. I wouldn't say the hull is particularly amazing, i'm not a fan of the seats and the engine isn't far off needing a rebuild! I wouldn't say she represents particularly good value for money.

Cheers, James

If it were for me, I'd be tempted!! She is the best out there in my opinion! I'm sure he'd want her too, but not quite at that price!
