Ah, i see. It would be nice to manufacture something of a similar design but on a lower budget aimed more at people like myself and many others on here that can't really justify spending amounts like that.

I'll keep you all posted.

Wally's in Maidstone Dave. He's still going but mostly works on bicycles now, when he's not playing keyboards in his band. I think the company name has changed.

Argon Weld

I try and find one for you. He must be so old now, I remember him welding up a gearbox casing for a 135 Evinrude for my Dad and I thought he was old then! I'm told he still does very good work though.

re pick up and dump

I have posted this before, my pick up picks up and seems to keep picking up at speed wherever i put the lever and winds up dumping out of the breather and giving me a 70mph shower ,i dont know the make but its a square tube in a tube that dumps supposedly out of the pick up(no seperate dump pipe) ,any ideas as to why this keeps filling, it is mounted approx 1" above the bottom of the transom?.Thanks Nick .ps how fast can these dump when working properly ?.

Pick-up

Post a picture of the fittment.
Sounds like the water is running off the bottom of the hull and up into the pick-up.

The combined pick-up and dumps are genrally not as fast to empty as the conventional valve mounted in the Vee of the transom.
This is due to the size of the pipe mounted of the back of the combined pick-up and dump.

Is the bottom of the transom rounded off or a sharp corner - the more rounded an edge is the more the water tends to creep round although it would have to be pretty bad to get that much water up there I think.
