Ive got info

My boat was purchased new

It started delaminating within a few weeks

The transom has been replaced as it was made out of shuttering ply

Had to have new stringers as plastic drainpipe had been used as formers and then glassed over

So I have spent over 10K on repairs

If you have any problem he 'disappears' and wont talk to you

Its a shame as the design is great

HHHhhhhhhhmmmmm,

Is it time to build that 30 footer ?

Is the UK really ready yet to think that boats other than monohulls can be great in the rough and have a turn of speed?

Naaahh,

Dont be a silly boy Mike !

Stick to the new Ranger 21 series B the 25 Ranger and the 'rumoured' 34 Ranger.

The new stepped hull ribs 750 /880/980/and 1080 now in production plus the existing 1200 /1300 stepped ribs.

Lots of new toys on the way from RP in 2012

Hey Mike,
You build a really sleek lightweight 30ft cat and i will rig it with an Ilmor 725 and Indy drive, let's beat the "YANKS" at their own game.... how fast can we make one go

Peter,
I suppose the sky is the limit. the faster you go the less accommodation you will have, if you want an all round sportsboat you will have to compromise speed. There are a lot of fast cats ( race ) all ready out there so there is no need to re-invent that particular wheel !
If a new build was to go ahead I think a proto one -off is the way to go. Test and prove the hull and modify to get the performance you are looking for and then tool for production.
The way forward could be a consortium of potential buyers to bankroll the scheme.

" Is there anbody out there ? " tra la

Mike

If only I could afford one I'd be in without doubt for a 30 footer I can put my single big block in. That'd be awesome.
After seeing what my campbell designed shakespeare cat could do in the rough I can only imagine what a well designed rough water 30 footer could do!
