whipple chargers 2 kits

For sale 2 whipple charger kits for big block chevy, will fit all 7,4 and 8,2 engines.
Will fit tall deck engines too with the right spacers.
These units are +-10 hours used ,have a cupper/nickel innercoolers, belts ,pulleys, all the hardware thats needed to mount them.
These are cast type lysholm chargers 2,3 L volume per rotation.
Carbs are Demon 1050 CFM,goodrich plumbing,stainless firebreathers.
These wil pump enough air for 600-650 hp.

I like to have 7000€ or 4800 GBP for both, and like to sell them as a set.

Kinda...
its a MAD EFI / Simon combo

mods are:
MAD EFI INTAKE
MAD EFI EXHAUST TUNER
MAD EFI SHORTSHAFT (MERC DONT MAKE ONE)
MAD EFI BILLET TIMING
MAD EFI CUT HEADS 62 CC
SIMON MOTOR SPORTS DRYSTACK
MAD EFI CUSTOM RECURVED IGNITION WITH 7500 RPM LIMITER
MAD EFI CUSTOM RECURVED FUEL ECU
CUSTOM FUEL SYSTEM TO SAVE ON WEIGHT (SIMULAR TO 280 EFI)

The main differences with our engine and a simon motorsports are:
Simon's motors dont have adjustable timing
Simon's heads dont have as high compression
The Simon engines arnt drystacked
They have completely different ecus
Simon's engines have a limiter of 6800 or 7000 i think
and they have standard (laser) fuel system, which is heavier as it has canister etc.

our engine is 174 kg's by the book(dry weight), so realisticly around 180kgs

I spoke to Wayne Taylor, the man who owns MAD EFI and supplied lots of our parts, I asked him what sort of power the engine our engine makes and his reply was
"Ross
If you have around 150 lb of compression you will have 355 HP.
Wt"

A compression test prooved our engine had 159-160 psi compression in all 6 so it should be bit over 355hp

It also makes 370 ft pounds torque.

At the moment its standard bore, but im hoping its going to be a 3.4 ltr big bore soon and making in the 400 hp regon with simular torque figures, but thats alot of money, big bore pistons+liners(alone 2400!) MSD Ignition(or Waynes new one when he finishes it), Mad efi XXX INTAKE (6 air inlets) ..or the one i have designed (See Pics)

When i done all the work to it i also put it on a huge diet, hents its so much lighter than standard, everything that wasnt needed was taken off!

Performance is awesome!
its a really user friendly engine aswell, ticks over in gear (with a 26" prop) nicely with 4 people in the boat, wont oil up because of the bleed system!
better on fuel then it was standard aswell!

Was a hell of a lot of work, but definatly paid off!
Hasnt missed a beat since it got rebuilt!
was abit oily last outing though, was running 20:1 to winterise it still diddnt complain once whilst we was flying down the river thames with 4 people on board

EDIT:Forgot, our engine has a adjustable ecu aswell, so the mixture can be finetuned at any speed via a twisty knob. we have a 4 screen digatron with built in alarm to tell us the cylinder head temp for both left and right bank and also exhaust gas temp, left and right bank to get the engine to run at optimium temp and make sure we dont over cook it.

Very Nice ,I ,m always been a big 3,0L merc fan,I think the power from a stock 250 is awesome.
Shame merc didn,t make a 20 inch 250 EFI,it would have been a great engine.
I know the xb 250 ,but those were rare items, and not many have been made.

My nephew had a Ravvshore 23 ,with 2 ported/modified 3,0L (bought as 250 EFI 25 inch and swapped to 20 inch)on it,the engine,s were brought to 300x specs,also 300x heads ,modified ECU,s EFI curve 300x,and 300 promax ignition curve and raised limiter 7000 rpm.
This was an awesome combo, and did 94,8 mph at best with 28 choppers.

I wish I had 2 modified 3,0L on my cat.

Yep
94mph so far (unverfied)...still pulling hard though, i think we could get very close to a tonne when we set the timing up, its running standard timing at the moment.
its extreemly stable aswell! the first time we used it i was surprised how well it handled the chop! it runs best trimmed a tiny bit out and bow tank empty

are they too expensive that I only see those engines at bernico or am i looking in the wrong direction?

is there any advantage to have 300x'es over the 3L mod'ed ones ?

Well you have 2 comparable outboards (in power),one is a off the shelf item, the other is a hybryd, that you have to stick together ,or buy one at MAD EFI,or Simon motorsports.
Usually you can send your 3,0L stock 225,250 ,300 promax to them ,and they do the mods.

I think a 300x has build in goodies ,such as solid mounds, beefier midsection(offshore style)
heavy duty exhaust adapter plate, most have a sportmaster lower unit, open exhaust from thicker alu,all for performance build.
The old promax 300 was shearing those goodies too.
The mod 3,0L is nice ,and cranks out more rpm and power than a 300x ,but can turn out in a pricy engine if you do what Puppiesballs had done to his.
