XR2 powerhead, v8 & B28 for sale

Hi All,

Got a few bits for sale, best to contact me by email at turbine (at) maxicorp.co.uk or by phone on 07781 122363 if genuinely interested as I don't get on here often.
Please don't waste my time, I don't have much of it spare these days.
All items can be shipped or delivered no problem.
I will post up pics or email them across if required.

XR2 powerhead, the good one from the B28. Generally good condition, head bolts and plugs rusty as usual but fine other than that, can supply serial number and pics for anyone interested.

8.2 supercharged v8. Freshly rebuilt with charge cooler, msd ignition, stainless marine headers and all the best bits. Again will supply pics etc if required. I have run it enough to run in the new cam, but it is otherwise unused. Heads were brand new and block has only ever had minimal use.

B28 - if you're looking for a outboard based unmolested B28 this is probably your only chance. It's the hull on a stainless steel tilting trailer. I've got various minor rigging parts which could go with it too.
It's tandem deck with a solid transom, the one which Toby and Moose took around Britain. Still looks the same. Hull in great structural condition, needs a re spray to look its best again. I'm sure I don't need to tell people about the ability of these boats.

Open to offers on all, happy to take any pics as required for genuine buyers.

All for sale due to a large amount of commitment required for work, I've just not got the time I need for these any more and don't want to see them sit forever.

All the best, James

Hi Sam,

I'd like in the region of £800 for the XR2, it turns absolutely fine and I have no reason to doubt it's in good condition, it was removed running absolutely fine.

If required, I also have the matching engine for spares, though this has a cylinder viewing port in the side

Yes I would happily ship to Bournemouth, wouldn't cost much on a small pallet.

James

James - that powerhead was the one that never gave a problem. It came off Roy's World Champ B-23 to go on the B-28 for RB08. Straight after it came off for a rebuild and onto the 23 again for Roy to go and win the World Championship in Guernsey later the same year. It has of course done rather a lot of sitting around since then!!!

Moose.

Thanks very much for that Moose, I knew it was supposed to be a good engine but didn't want to say too much!

It hasn't been used since then but is regularly well oiled inside and rotated, so I see no reason it should have any issues.

I've tried to price it accordingly to allow someone to budget for a few gaskets should they wish to pull the heads or reed chest to check it over. If someone was seriously interested I would be happy to do this and check/photograph the internals as required.

Thanks, James
