but you don't know what the 'empty' tank weighs, that's why I asked what it's made of, and what it weighs.

a very small increase in weight up front, will reduce the speed quite a bit.

i agree with that to a point, but when ringing the last few mph, even on flat water, skill will help a lot, when you've got the boat trimmed 'way up' and it wants to walk about like a bastud on it's...

Having a full tank of fuel in the bow should make a massive difference to top speed! you need to look into your set up.

However, I expect it runs well in a chop.

I think Ian Sterling's P21 probably only does mid sixties, and it's unlikely, without a very special motor and setup, to go all that much quicker.

Silver, just not filling the fwd tank should...

At a guess, i'd think 70 would be the very best you could get with your set up, probably upper 60's would be more realistic.
