Class 2 is a 2L category, as EPA engines are allowed a 30% bonus, the 2.5L 200XS Optimax fits. However they did start in the X - Experimental category.

The EPA engines raced in 2006, were the Mercury 60 4 stroke in Classe 1, the 200XS Optimax in Class 2 & the 225 Evinrude ETec in the Class 3. The CMN dropped the Honda 50 years ago.
