Well after the hassle getting the boat in the water we leant an expensive mistake, the waters damn shallow today!

So best places to buy a new propellor peeps!!????

The hull is an easy repair...

Well the spirally bit on the spindle was shagged too but after 50 odd phone calls i just got back with a nigh on brand new one, off to chuck it in now....woohooooo....cheers all for your help!!

Apparently I have found out that the cog on starter should lock when it spins one way and move freely when you spin it the other way. So I have been told to replace it, dont spose anyone has a spare...

Right o, did ask where his yard was but didnt get a reply. Found one company that said they could recondition it which will take a weekish. Another chap said he may have a second hand one for sale...

Not sure I'm brave enough to go that far yet, only got out the river itchen for the first tie last night!! Also discovered our boat eats petrol like its going out of fashion too....

OK will try to use jump leads again, clean up shaft, lubricate and start with rope. I dont beleive the engine is seized either.

Hopefully we'll get it sorted coz it looks like it may be a nice day...

Help Crisis!!!

Got back earlier and went to flush the engine (Force 85) but it wont start. It looks like the starter motor is getting jammed upwards and wont come back down. I assume this is stopping the engine...
